IE6 displays the modal box up the top of the page even if you are scrolled half way down the page. I thought this might be a problem with my template or conflicting css/js but when I tested Phoca Gallery's very own demo website on IE6 it has the same problem - https://www.phoca.cz/phocagallery/demo/
Does anyone know of a fix for this? I fear it might be a joomla issue.

Re: IE6 problem - modal (lightbox) appearing in wrong position
Hi, the modal box is a part of Joomla framework, not of Phoca Gallery ... so you need to change the modal box css in the Joomla framework... But I don't know why you should do this, just use a web browser to browse the web(Firefox, Seamonkey, Opera, Mozilla, ...)

Yeah I'm hoping this is addressed in a joomla upgrade because I can't work out what part of the CSS is causing the problem.
As for your comment regarding using a web browser, please tell that to the 37% of the planet that were still using IE6 in July - you're fooling yourself if you don't think you need to test your website in IE6 =)

Re: IE6 problem - modal (lightbox) appearing in wrong position
I don't know why but this site visits 8,6 % of people with IE 6, maybe because I do education in this area ("please use a web browser")As for your comment regarding using a web browser, please tell that to the 37% of the planet that were still using IE6 in July - you're fooling yourself if you don't think you need to test your website in IE6 =)
But don't forget that you must be very careful with people who are using IE 6. These people have not seen the internet site correctly. So if you display correct site for them, they can be shocked, so it can be very dangerous for them... so please be careful ...
BTW: I think the XP OS from Microsoft is very good product (I am using it with Suse Linux) but I cannot like IE. Why? If I develop e.g. some extensions or some webdesign, I develop it e.g. 3 months but then I spend next 6 Month (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) with hacking it to work it under IE ... if you solve some problem, then next problem will be come because of the hack, and ... and ... so please use web browser to browse the web and teach your visitors and friends to use the web browser ... Maybe then new extensions with new features can be produced...
BTW 2: Some of the first questions I had on the joomla.org forum was, why joomla does display the modal box incorrectly in IE. I got this anser (from joomla core developer): we don't support non standard browsers... And in the next 3 years the modal box was not fixed... so maybe it was true
Thank you, Jan
