[SOLVED] Custom Joomla User Groups & Access Levels errors

Post by RottNKorpse »

Update:
I figured out my problem...I was not aware that group changes were not activated to a user until the user logs out and logs back in. I did that and it worked exactly as expected. Sorry about that, my fault.

If anyone has the same problem...just logout and login again to see the permission settings work.

---------------------------------

I've done searches for over an hour and have not found any answers...I also am supplying screenshots of what I am posting about.

Joomla: 2.5.8 (fresh install)
Phoca Download: 2.1.7

I am trying to make a download section of my site that is only accessible to subscribers. I am using Akeeba Subscriptions. (this should work in theory as both are using default ACL system) Akeeba seems to work fine so that is not the issue.

I set a user to be a part of one of those groups. I set a category and file in Phoca to be restricted to the same group. I go to the view categories page (standard menu item) yet I see nothing except the Phoca powered by tag.

If I turn the category to Public then it shows with no files to download.

User Groups (created) - SubbedOne, SubbedTwo, SubbedThree
Access Levels created and attached to the user groups.
Category & File set to SubbedOne for access level.
User is a part of the SubbedOne group.

Nothing shows...what have I done wrong?

I am limited to only 5 URLs so I had to do it in an Album.

Screenshots: in the album = http://imgur.com/a/68scl
Access Levels (all)
SubbedOne Access Level Details
User Groups
User Assigned User Group Details
File Details (overview)
Front End (with settings on SubbedOne)

I changed the category access to Public and I left the file access to SubbedOne and here are results.

Error after clicking "Download" = http://i.imgur.com/ugmQz.png

As you can see it is telling me to login when I was already logged in.
