[Solved]Phoca doesn't create Categorie

Hi,

I installed phoca 1.3 on Joomla! 1.5 stable.
The installation of the componement went smoothly.
But now when I try to create a categorie, I have this error message : "Error Saving Phoca Gallery Categories ". Maybe a permission problem ?

No, Phoca Gallery cannot store the data in your database, see your database, e.g. via PHPMyAmdin and see if there are tables 'phocagallery' and 'phocagallery_categories'. Maybe this tables were not created while intalling Phoca Gallery. If not, you must create it manually e.g. via PHPMyAdmin. All required SQL queries are in 'install.sql' file (phocagallery zip file) saved...

Pitty the installation doesn't do that right away.

I cannot affect the installation process in Joomla

Hum I now have problems when I create a gallery.

1) when I click on image button, I have the message : there is no picture in this folder.
2) if I put something in filename, it ends up by saying : "Error saving filename"

Sorry to bother.

PS : In the install.sql file, there is 2 _ betteewn #__phocagallery, is it normal ?

Yes, it is standard... see the original core sql files in joomla 1.5.

From:
#__phocagallery you get while installation your-prefix_phocagallery

Your tables should have this form in your database:

your-prefix_....

Ok, that's what I noticed about the sql files, I was not too much worried about that.

I'm much more annoyed by the fact of not beeing able to create gallery or to upload pics.

- yes... but it seems like you still cannot store data to the database, so the table name can be still wrong...

My problem now is I can still not create Gallery despiste I have a table named jos_phocagallery

I finaly found what I was missing :
I didn't put any pictures in /mages/phocagallery !

Now I have done this, it works much better !
