Select parent category for source in categories view

Hello,
Firstly, thanks for this awesome module.
Now my question, it's possible to select a parent category in categories view??
I know there is a "category view" wich you can select a category or parent category and then it shows the
subcategories or files associated, but i like the way that the categories are shown in "category view option"
but this one show all categories without select any one.
So i'd like to use a parent category to show all subcategories like the "categories view" does.

Example:

Parent Category -> Sub category -> Files
(From menu i select the Parent and it shows the subcategories associed. Those subcategories i want i'd like to show like the "categories view" does. The files are fine)

Hi, for now there is no such option, so this needs to be customized (but be aware, this cau cause memory errors - e.g. if to much items will be loaded at the same time )
