I have created an html document that can be converted to a pdf file on the website (in Joomla). I have inserted an absolute link to an excel file I have uploaded to the server but the link in the pdf file points to the file on my local machine.
The page is here www .seecac.com/22tips/268-22-chart-accts and the link is at the bottom of the page. The link will open the excel file in the html page but not in the pdf file that is created by using the pdf link at the top of the page.
Any thoughts as to why?
Thanks
absolute link works in html, not in pdf file

Hi, PDF document is not html, you cannot create it dynamically like html. The link links to html version, to open other PDF with such content you need to have the link directly to PDF of this content.
