Ownership is my username in both User and Group access. That function very well on some of my other sites with other extensions. Both from backend and frontend.

Permission is 777 on images, phocagallery and all subdirectories.

In the mean time i have upgraded to PHP 5.2.5 with same result.
Im now running my backend and frontend in Danish language.

I have tried to set permissions to 755, with same result.

From Joomla backend I have these other settings:
Databaseversion: 4.1.22-standard
Databasesammenkøring: utf8_general_ci
PHP version: 5.2.5
Webserver: Apache/2.2.8 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/0.9.8g mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_jk/1.2.25
Webserver to PHP: cgi
Joomla!-version: Joomla! 1.5.6 Production/Stable [ Vusani ] 12-August-2008 22:00 GMT
Useragent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; da; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0

Try to run in it English (I think it should not be problem, but maybe some string ???) ... I don't have any idea why you get logout. There is no such code in Phoca Gallery for logout :( ???
