not working..seeing code - NEW INFO

hello..

not sure whats happening, i've installed the plugin, and re-installed it, when i try and pub an image or category in an article, i see the actual code i typed.. for example, i tried this:

{phocagallery view=categories}

i see that, i typed the { } manually.

gallery works perfectly if i link to it in the menu. i am using joomla 1.5.3 with the latest phoca gallery and latest plugin (downloaded yesterday!)

anyone give me some ideas as to what i am doing wrong?

and: in your article preview (when you're typing an article) the pictures never show

yes, i have enabled the plugin..

if never shows in the article preview or when i save and view the article.. all i see is the code

did you try the standard template from Joomla?

Maybe you can give us the website?

thanks for all the suggestions.

after hours of fiddling around, i managed to get it to work in articles, works perfectly.

however, I have the the JOOBLOG component installed as well and it does not work in there, i assume that there is some code i can add to the component to get it to "recognise" the plugin, does anyone have any idea? I have contacted the developer of the jooblog component to request his input, but to date i have not received any reply.

any ideas will as always be much appreciated.
