disable category link

hi
i have install phoca download on my joomla 2.5.x

is is possible to do this:

i have 2 main categoris
and in each category sub-categoris

i have asignd user to his specific sub-category

when user logins to joomla and goes to download
he see's
Category1
user-files

but when user clicks on Category1
all sub-categoris are show, so this user can see all of my sub categoris.
how can i disable link that user cannot click on Category1?

Hi, you can set access rights for each category, and subcateogory too, if you want, user should not see some subcategory, then just set access rights for other user so he will not see it.

buf you you are user 2 and click on Category1
then open and shows all subcategoris that i have
but wen you click on exmpl user1 subcat it says you dont have the right ... thats ok

i just want to Disable that Noone can't click on Categor1(main category) so nobody can se all sub-categorys

Hi, the rights are set for categories (it means, it does not depend on if this is a category or subcategory), if the parent category is public, only subcategories where user has rights he will see, the same with parent category, if the parent is not accessible, user will not see it.

thx for the help but i didnt uderstand you, i changed the option ane made for every user main category that only specified user can se in to it and no sup-cats.

how does the frontend delete work? i ave right to user that he can delete files, but no option is shown in the category when weiving

Hi, if user has delete rights, he/she can delete files but only if they were uploaded by the user.
