Get Directions Showing Wrong Address

Hello,

The marker has the correct latitude and longitude and is displaying the correct address. But when you go to get directions it's showing a different address. I pulled the latitude and longitude from google. I also tried entering the address and that didn't work. I'm not sure if having a "Suite 106" in the address is causing the issue.

If anyone has any information on this please let me know.

Hi, unfortunatelly, locations are not managed by the component but directly by google maps api, so this is more a google developers question then the Phoca Maps. - what if you add the GPS coordinates, do you get the same problems?

Unfortunately this issue hasn’t been resolved yet by Google. Same problem here, using Phocamaps 3.0.

To see what is happening, you can do the folowing:
- I have searched for a location in Google Maps: Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina
- Right-click on the marker and choose "What is here"
- GPS coordinates are appearing: just press the search button again
- You can see: marker and destination are kilometers away from each other.

Google seems to misunderprete their own coordinates when used for directions.

In my opinion, the only workaround should be to enter an address as destination instead of coordinates. However, this ain’t possible in Phoca Maps. Do you have any other solution? ('Hardcoding' the destination address in the php-files of Phoca Maps?)

Hi, in Phoca Maps, if you open the window in popup, there is a search input field, and there you can add the address as destination. Such way I do it - I am not adding coordinates but the address

Thanks, but the problem is: in Medjugorje there are no street names. You can only search for the name of the village (or use coordinates). But when you do so, the direction leads to a completely other destination. So the problem persists... I contacted Google about this issue.
