Multiple Installations

Love this product and Ive setup a large image gallery, now I want to setup a separate gallery on another part of the site but using movie clips.

My question is, it possible to install this more than once one my Joomla site ?

You can user more Menu Links. The power of Phoca Gallery is, that it uses the Parameters Component -it can be confused for new users (because parameters on two places are edited) but it is very powerful, because you can set different parameter for different menu links (for different galleries)

Thanks for your reply, however I cannot seem to grasp this properly.

I cannot see anywhere in Menus » e.g. Main Menu » Specific menu link (e.g. Phoca Gallery - My Holiday Pictures) » Parameters Component where i can do this.

Are you able to provide a little more info on how to do this please ? As much or as little as you can would be great

Hi,

I don't understand why you need to install another gallery?

You can have different categories and more than 1 menu link to a category (or group of categories).

The lay-out you can set up per menu link and that's what Jan is pointing at.

So in your situations you can make a group of categories (with maybe a parent category) of pictures, and make another group of categories (with maybe a parent category) of movies. And in the menulink you define what must be shown (or hidden).

I don't see the need for a second gallery on 1 site. (and I don't know if it is possible)
