Phoca Download Finder Returns No Results

Hi,

I've successfully uploaded and configured about 20 downloads using your Phoca Downloads component / plugin. I want to add the ability to search because I plan to include a large number of resources available for download. I have installed the Phoca Download Finder plugin (I'm running Joomla 2.5) but when i search for a keyword from the title of a file, it always returns zero results. What am I doing wrong?

Hi thanks for the reply! I have not done that - didn't realize I needed to. This is the first I've used the smart search. I'll research and try again. I'll post back with my results. Thanks!

Hi, Despite the change in the thread title, this isn't solved for me. I have indexed the Smart Search plugin according to Joomla's directions and while I do now get results, my Phoca files are NOT being included in those results. Any other ideas?

Just for the sake of clarity... here's what I've done so far:

1 - Installed Phoca Download Finder plugin (Files).
2 - Enabled plugin and chose "File View" for my search results.
3 - Made sure all Smart Search plugins are also enabled.
4 - Uploaded new files to Phoca Download.
5 - Created a new menu item of type "Phoca Download » List of Files (Category View)" and set it to view the correct category.
6 - Confirmed correct display and download of newly created files. All is correct.
7 - Created a Smart Search module assigned to my List of Files menu item.
8 - Confirmed correct display of search module - it displays as I've set it up.
9 - Indexed my site within Components > Smart Search - no errors received.
10 - Selected a word from the title of a file and searched by that word, both with exact capitalization and in all lowercase - Results show, but none of my Phoca Download files.

I just checked it once more in my Joomla! v2.5 test environment without any problems.
So, sorry I have no more ideas....

Can you tell me what your search string was so i can recreate?

in this case my search string was phoca, a part of the file name.
