Installing Phocamaps

Post by SPABO »

For one reason or the other, I cannot get Phocamaps properly working.

Phocamaps 2.0.6
Joomla 2.5.17
JCE Editor 2.3.4.4

After teh install when creating teh first new Map,
1 The editor does not show
2 I cannot get coordinates

And when i try to save, or just leave , the website does not respond at all and get''s stuck.

Tried this at 4 different websites, and same problems.

Would it be J 2.5.17? of JCE ?

Anyone experience?

Look forward hearing from you

Hi, just try to test to switch your editor to standard (tinymce) and let me know.

Hi Jan,
I'm hosting my site with the same hoster as SPABO. Discovered it should have to do something with server configuration/firewall/ip-blocking. Because on other servers with the same hoster it works fine.

Editor set even to no editor makes no difference.

Hoster is very helpfull but we are unable to find out differences between the two servers. I have a strong feeling that it has something to do with the server blocking access to google server, but even after checking all IP adresses that are shown on the server where it is working, the error is still there.

I know it's not a problem with your extension, but maybe you could give some directions and possible causes.

Hi, unfortunately I don't have any experiences with such problems, so cannot give any clue advice. The only one what I can think, is what you have written - possible limits somewhere between the server and google maps api communication. But what exactly, really no idea  :-( :-(

Dear all,
Most likely, not 100% sure, it had to due with a slight faillure in one of the servers at our hostingparty.

Saying this, again, not 100% sure, so I'm carefull fingerpointing!

Anyway, everthing works fine and as usual!
