Category Access

Hi,
I've created some categories.

Some of them are Public, and they work as expected
Some of them are restricted to Registered users, and these too work as expected
I have then created a new user group in Joomla and a new Access Level, (call it "restricted") inside the Registered group.
If I set a Category in Phoca Download to be restricted to just the "restricted" group, it is visible to every Registered user instead.

What I'm doing wrong?

Here is how I've set the users and access rights:



The Category shown in point 4 is accessible to all Registered users, not to the restricted ones only (Accesso Ristretto).

Hi, try to see Phoca Download Options. See the Access Level - Registered Users parameter - as default there should not be set any group - if there is no group, it should work Ok. Testing now, I have set new group, now access level TEST and such category cannot be accessed by other registered users

Hi Jan, thanks for reply.
I have checked the settings (took some time to figure where it was ^^) and no group is selected:



so, it should work, right? but it does not. what if I select "registered" ?

wait... now it seems to work properly! but... I have not changed anything
it is possible that, since I'm swapping from one user to another while testing access levels, this has messed up stuff (i.e. sessions, or cookies) creating problems to the extension? if so, final users should not have any problem...

Hmm, really no idea what could be the problem, maybe sessions, cookie, maybe saving the parameters added right values
