deactivated entries shown !

Post by HGH »

Hi,

I have deactivated this entry

Image

But the link is still always shown.

When I call up a non excisting entry, the link is not viewed automatically - that's the wanted feature I
It would be nice, when links to deactivated entries were also not viewed or hidden.

PS: the article-trace infos are not relevant to this.

Hi, in articles, there are not the same rules like in component. So if you decide to display the items in article, they will be displayed, if you want to download them and they are not accessible, the component will not download it but they are shown in article - in case you add the plugin code to the article.

Hi Jan,

thanx. But it would be a nice feature, that the shown download butten is not listedr, when the file-entry - may be temporarily - deactivated.
So the user doesen't think to have an error.

Hi, see similar posts in this forum.

This feature can be used: 50% vs. 50%

50% of users want to display the filename in article even it is not accessible (they say: if I paste the plugin code there, I want to have listed it there, If I don't want to list the plugin there, I will just not paste the code here, for me it is important, user will know such file exists but they will know such file can be downloaded only after login)
50% of users don't want to display it there - they say: plugin should have the component rule

So in fact this is really hard to decide which way it should work, so I think such features needs to be customized directly for the current website :-(

Hi Jan,
thanx for your answer.
But what about to make this an admin-selectable option in the component settings?

Hi, this is next problem, in Phoca Download request list, I have over 1200 adepts for parameters and e.g. 100 parameters is more than enough as you cannot use all the memory of the server to load parameters :-( So every parameter must be many times rechecked :-(

Added to feature request list.
