Phocapdf and T3 template

Post by Maggi »

Hello,
before I will try and installt Phoca pdf I have a question.
Is there anyone how has experience with the combination of Phocapdf and T3 Framework from JoomlArt under joomla 3.2?
So is there a standard installation possible or must the code be edit?
or
who installed Phocapdf with standard Phoca PDF system plugin and wich Template is used or at wich Template it work?
Thanks
Maggi

Hi, I don't know the T3 but if it produces standard features, then there should not be any problem, if it overrides component output, then such output needs to be manually changed (added the icon) or you can try to install the Phoca PDF system plugin which can try to do it, see Phoca PDF documentation.

Hello,
thank you for your answer.
Now I tried it and the result of the installation is, with the standard plugin at the T3 template no pdf Icon will be shown at content.
So I tried a default Template of Joomla 3.2 (protostar) and I changed one problem to two others..... :-(
1. The pdf button will shown but no content in the created pdf document, only Header and footer are shown.
Is it possible that no content will be created because the content is only visible for registered users?
2. And the layout is not like the t3 there are only on footer, at T3 I have under the footer 4 columns where I could plyced modules too.
so i dont know what is easier to solve, to integrate pdf into T3 or to solve the problem of content at the pdf and the Lyout....

Hi,

1) this can be caused by some specific non standard code produced in article, try to write some custom article with raw text (without formatting) to test if the pdf function works ok on your server

2) if the layout is done in article and not overwritten by template it is easier to work with it - e.g. system plugin can find the place better and can be used, if not, then it needs to be customized directly for the template overriden code, try to read this:
