Hi
I have a very disturbing problem. I can't seem to find a setting for default access group of uploaded files through frontend. Does it exist and if so where?
I would like all files uploaded to have Registered Users as default access group, today every file uploaded from frontend has Guest as access group.
This is very annoying because an administrator then needs to change this after a user has uploaded a file.

Re: Default Access Group of uploaded files
Hi, in Phoca Download you can set which user will have rights to upload files. If user upload a file in UCP, this does not change any access group. Setting of access group is set in Joomla! user manager for each user.

Re: Default Access Group of uploaded files
My user has rights to upload and it doesn't matter if I upload in fronted or backend. All files gets Guest as access group. My user is not a member of Guest and I can't find anywhere to change this behavior.
Im not sure were talking about the same thing...

Re: Default Access Group of uploaded files
Hi, not sure, Phoca Download does not set the groups, it does not set the access levels. If user is set in some group or have some access level, this needs to be set in Joomla! in user manager. In Phoca Download you only set which group or which user can upload files, but you don't set anything regarding setting of access levels or groups or users

Re: Default Access Group of uploaded files
Hi, i have the same problem. All uploaded file has the access level "guest" and the administrator must change the access level in backend. My user has rights to upload, although for the category and he is in the registered group. I wish if the registered user upload a file, it will be downloadable without changing the access level of the file.
Any idea to solve the problem?

Re: Default Access Group of uploaded files
Hi, if you want that uploaded file will be not displayed, then set approving feature for this, if not, then the access level will be public, if you need to have some other access level while upload, you need to set it directly in the code, to customize it
