Thumbnails in search results - version 4 only?

Hi,
I am in Joomla version 2.5.19 and Phoca gallery search Plugin 3.2.3.
I cannot get thumbnails to appear in search results. Is this only available in joomla 3, plugin v. 4?

Hi, here in the forum, there was a guide to do it for Joomla! 2.5

Since Joomla! 3, I have added support to Phoca Gallery to work this feature when easily customized in the search component. But always the search component needs to be customized as the search outcome list is not rendered by Phoca Gallery, but by core Joomla! search component.

Hi, here in the forum, there was a guide to do it for Joomla! 2.5

I could not get it to work in joomla 2.5. Then I saw the note referring to the feature working in joomla 3 only at the bottom of the page. It was unclear whether the note referred to resizing the thumbnails or what...

Anyway, I have it working in joomla 3, but the search button is not displaying properly in the search results. The search button is fine to begin with, but when you do a search and then get to the results page, the search button does not display correctly. "Total: results found" also does not appear.

I think my old template needs modification for Joomla 3. Trying to figure out how to do that. All the stuff I'm finding says to 'install your new joomla 3 compatible template". I don't have the time to modify a new template from scratch.
