will this put the text UNDER the category image?

See the subcategories... the text in subcategory is under the image|folder icon

So if you created a main category and then subcategories, you will create the link into the main category (and subcategories will be displayed as categories in categories list view)

why is it to the right of the image anyways
I have never seen a gallery like that before
That is why I did Phoca Gallery. Phoca Gallery is not the same as other galleries. It is very powerful and variable gallery... If you have ideas, you can do with Phoca Gallery what you want... e.g. text under the category...

Im just not getting it I guess
and it seems nobody has the code to fix this

my items ARE listed as subcats
and yet they don't display as you have suggested

the gallery operates just fine
but they still have text NEXT to them instead of under them

and its not my template I am using the basic Joomla template for testing

please let me know your site

no errors, the sizes were not set in Parameters component:

what sizes arent set?

my thumb sizes are all set large image is 600x800
small and medium image are 200x200

when ever I use sub cats the images stack this way

okay, I think Im understandnig this now

so you have to change the sizes twice....?

once in the global setting then each time you add a button in the parameter scom as well?

seems kinda redundant but okay it works

the size are ok now
