Categories in menu

Hi,
"PD Categories View" shows all categories. If you want to show only one category and it' s subcategories, you should use "List of Files (Category view)" In the "Required Settings" you choose the category "example".
The link will look like this: index.php?option=com_phocadownload&view=category&id=1

Thanx again Benno. Ive tryed this alreday, but didnt see the "required settings" tab
The Menu works fine now, but i've got double Breadcrumbs entrys.
If i click on downloads>cat1>subcat1, i got this in breadcrumbs:

home > downloads > cat1 > subcat1 > cat1 > subcat1

EDIT: i found this thread and tried to do the workaround, but i completely messed up since the mentioned lines doesnt fit.

I tested it, and get the expected breadcrumbs
home > downloads > cat1 > subcat1
So, try to disable all other existing menu links to Phoca Download Component for testing..

There are no other Links to any phoca component, except those i've created. So what should i deactivate for now?

In the linked thread i read that the menu itself create the breadcrumb links, and phoca dowload doeas it too... so where can i disable this for one of them?

as I mentioned above, I am not able to reproduce the problem in my test environment. Therefore I can not give any advice to solve this problem.

This is frustrating like hell... I checked all Settings, deleted all categorys and menu links, Make it all new... with the same result.
Whatever i try, i ever get double breadcrumbs. Would you maybe have a look into it, if i give you my login?


Im willing to spend more money into this, as long as i can finally end up this endless mess...

please help me...

Is nobody able to solve the "double Breadcrumbs" problem? I am not the only one who have this strange behavior.
As mentioned i found a solution where i have to delete some code so phoca download can't render any Breadcrumbs links anymore. But since the code has changed, this doesn't work. Maybe you can tell us where we have to cut the code?


any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, the problem is, it is not allways displayed and not on every server so it hard to simulate and find what exactly is wrong (as this is not problem of the component but problem of whole Joomla! system - how to differentiate if there are more menu links to one component which can cause the problems )
