Jan,
I have the same problem. I actually got an error when doing multi-add (but unfortunately didn't write it down) so I just added a directory of photos. Now when I click on Albums I just get the blank page. I can still view categories and I can make menu items to the album that I made and most (not all) photos display.
Perhaps Phoca isn't dealing well with photos that aren't just right?

I was using Joomla 1.5 and upgraded to Joomla 1.5.1 just to see if it was a Joomla thing and nothing has changed.

I tried uninstalling Phoca Gallery and got this
* It was not possible to delete the selected file: 'en-GB.com_phocagallery.ini'
* It was not possible to delete the selected file: 'en-GB.com_phocagallery.menu.ini'
* It was not possible to delete the selected file: 'en-GB.com_phocagallery.ini'
* It was not possible to delete the selected file: 'en-GB.com_phocagallery.menu.ini'
* JFolder::delete: Could not delete folder /var/www/html/joomlatest.com/components/com_phocagallery
* Component Uninstall: Unable to remove the component site directory
* JFolder::delete: Could not delete folder /var/www/html/joomlatest.com/administrator/components/com_phocagallery
* Component Uninstall: Unable to remove the component admin directory
Then I went into the database via phpMyAdmin and manually deleted all references to phoca and when I attempt to reinstall I get this..
Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "/var/www/html/joomlatest.com/components/com_phocagallery"

The Components menu is still showing PhocaGallery, but i get these error messages in the Catagory page:

If you unistall the component, all link in the front will be broken...

I can help only If I can see it... Please create for me an account on your sites and maybe I will find what is the error...

info@phoca.cz, please let me know your PHP version...
Now I cannot test in under PHP4, maybe next week I will test it under PHP4 and I will 100% know that there are not PHP 4 error code...
But I still think the problem should not be in PHP4... but I must test it...

I have a backup server (actually the future replacement server running PHP5 so I could just copy it over and try again there to make sure). At this point though I can't even install Phocagallery because it says the com_phocagallery is being used already even though Phocagallery has been uninstalled (unseccussfully) and I deleted all references of Phoca from the database. I'd hate to think I need to reinstall my entire site to get Phoca back to not working...
Even though it may seem like I'm complaining I'm not, I think Phocagallery is my future web gallery..

You must delete:
components/com_phocagallery folder and
administrator/components/com_phocagallery e.g. via FTP
if the uninstall process didn't do it...
