How to change the category select field properties?

Hmmm, maybe this is somehow related to the browser, which browser do you use?

I've tried with Chrome, Mozilla, I.E.

Then:

- maybe some system plugin installed on your Joomla! website prevents from displaying the chosen effect on select boxes
- or there is some javascript error on your site which prevents from running chosen for the select boxes, try to see javascript console if there is no error:

Hi Claudio,

I had a look at your screenshot and I think there can be another reason for your problem.
The search field will not be displayed until there are a certain number of entries.
As long as you can't see a scrollbar there is no search field either.
I hope this info could help.
