Re: Shopping Cart Total always displaying Zero value

Hi Jan

Thank you for your inputs. However, it still does not answer the question as to why the Payment Price in the Payment Options (#4) section of the Checkout screen is appearing as £0. Also, why are the buttons appearing as "Save" and "...confirmed" (please refer to the screenshots in my previous response)?

As far as my understanding goes, the SSL verification will only come into play when PayPal is contacted. But the above-mentioned errors/issues occur before that!

Kamalesh.

Hi, "save" just means that you have selected payment method and you save your preference.

What does happen when do you use some other template? Try to test it with some of these templates:

Hi Jan

I have tested this with the Premiere Gantry 5 Template. However, I am getting the same result:

Maybe, I wrongly understand what exactly is the problem?

The payment price is 0 because it seems you haven't set any costs for payment method? Did you set some costs for PayPal? If not, the price for payment method is zero (in payment options, there is not displayed total price but price for payment method - e.g. if you pay some fees on PayPal account and you want, this will be paid in order by customer, the same when eshop charge some fee for cash payment, etc.).

Hi Jan

Thank you for clarifying. I get it now. But thinking of the situation that you have explained, displaying the price in this way may be confusing to quite a few customers. Is it possible to change the display to something like "+£0.00", i.e. pre-fix a "+" sign to the Payment Price amount?

Hi, if you have price = 0, why not to hide the price completely?:
