then it works - but I'd like to use the SEF if that's possible, because in google analytics I can easily analyze my visitor statistics. And without the SEF I cannot identify my pages really well

the problem is that Phoca Gallery works with SEF, so I cannot say, what can be wrong on your server (your server + Joomla! + SEF + Phoca Gallery)

The strange thing is that it worked really fine with the component 1.6.? and the plugin 1.3.0

I had normal sized thumbs then...

yes, this url is correct, problem is while SEF Url creating ...

Try to add into a menu link a Phoca Gallery menu link (link to Phoca Gallery categories view ) and enable the SEF, maybe the created Itemid for Phoca Gallery menu link will help plugin to display Url path correctly...

This works, thank you Jan - it's a nice workaround

I set the menulink in a menu, which isn't displayed.

So now only the large portraits and then everything is ok...

portrait problem - I have tested it, but it works for me in FF ??? and should work, the box should be over the image ???

Try to install the Phoca Gallery Plugin version 1.8.0
Try to change to standard template (maybe there is a problem)

I installed Phoca Gallery both to 1.8.0 - 'cause it's also a problem within the component.

With the standard template, you mean the template of the website, or the template of phoca?

It looks like this right now:
