Hi, displaying description in Photoswipe worked for component only
I added new parameter to plugin so it will be possible in plugin too:
Try to test latest Beta version:

Jan,
That is a really good step forward. Just what I needed for displaying the freetext. Thank you so much.
I wonder if you would now be able to sort out that the images on the detail view are all displayed in landscape format (I think 4x3 format). Many images across my website (and, I'm sure, other people's) are in other formats, e.g. portrait. Currently any portrait image is displayed in a grossly distorted way. They need to be displayed in their original format.
Many thanks again,
Hugh

Hi, I don't understand the problem with landscape, isn't it caused by using/not using crop method?

Hi Jan,
If, for example) you look at the Photo Gallery on this page (
http://new.hungerfordvirtualmuseum.co.u ... 17&catid=2) you will see the problem with all pics being shown as 4x3 landscape format, despite some of the originals being portrait.
Thanks for helping to sort this out.
Kind regards

Sorry... I should have added that I have tried various settings regarding "cropping" but haven't found a solution.

Hi, please test this version:
https://github.com/PhocaCz/PhocaGallery ... 2Beta2.zip
I added the same Portrait/Landscape functionality as it is in component (so the Portrait should not be the same size like Landscape and vice versa):

Jan, that is superb! Thank you so much for dealing with this so quickly and satisfactorily. The "detail view" now shows the images in landscape and portrait format without distortion. Excellent.
Having fixed those two problems, I will now be able to progress from Joomla3 to 4. Thank you for responding to quickly.
There is just one further feature that it would be really good to have (it was on Highslide JS). That is an "Image Download" button, or some way of allowing the user/viewer to download the full-size file of the thumbnail. Is that something that would not involve too much work. I guess that some users would not want that feature, so ideally a global setting option to enable/disable it would be 100% perfect!
What do you feel?
Kind regards

Hi, I am not sure if Photoswipe does include such feature
I will take a look at it.

Hi Jan,
I'm afraid that the new updates (Phoca Gallery 4.5.2 and Plugin 4.5.2) don't work correctly. The Previous 4.5.2Beta was fine.
There are many problems:
1. On the thumbnails, the filename now totally obscures the image (see attached pic
https://imgur.com/yVNiyZO)
2. One the detail view, the freetext description of the image has disappeared again (although it was working fine with the beta)
3. On the detail view, the filename is now dark blue (on black) and is nearly invisible. Previously white text.
4. On any article / page which has a Photo Gallery, the colours and settings of the Headings (e.g.Heading3 and 4) don't work as I have set them up (to be purple in my case). Everything is black.
5. On any article / page which has a Photo Gallery, the body / paragraph text is tiny and nearly unreadable! Not at all like my settings which work fine on other pages / articles.
I do hope you spot this and can fix it ASAP please!
Rgds

Jan,
Just to be clear, Plugin 4.5.2Beta2 works perfectly. I have had to revert to that for the present.
