OK, then I have my answer. The tree actually works as intended, I misunderstood and thought your phrase "- private galleries are not displayed in tree (if you set the parameter not display the protected galleries)" meant that galleries with viewing rights for only one (or a number of specified) user(s) also were not visible if the user did not have viewing rights.
No big deal, the important thing is that the viewing rights are working, and both our ACL:s ensure that!
Must say that you seem to have put a lot of work into this, and even your site seems to have been extensively reworked in the last months. Very nice!

The only reason why it doesn't work now, is, that I forgot, that there is not only 'registered - not registered' but the private categories for selected users too .. I did upgrade for component, both modules and plugin at once, so I forgot it I take a look at it
Please download the component now (in categories tree, there didnt' work it too, but should work now..., please test it and let me know)

I downloaded both the module and the component, installed and upgraded the component and removed and reinstalled the module.
No change what I can see.
If you logon at
http://www.bankel.se with Testare/test1 and then look at Bildarkivet/VĂĽra gallerier you can see that the tree shows private galleries for two other users.
I can of course hide all the private galleries by using the explicit hiding function, but then the current user's private gallery is hidden too.
Is there something more I need to do, perhaps recreate the private galleries?
Edit: I do not really have a problem with this. What I will do is to hide all the private galleries using the explicit hiding function, like I already have done for the component. Then nobody will see any private galleries, except that the current user will see a menu link to his/her own private gallery (thanks to my own ACL system) if there is one.

It is still not made for Module Tree, I have spoken about the Component tree
In component tree, there is a back button and folder button and both can be linked to private category (so I did only change in this tree - back and folder button should not be displayed for other private users)...
Tommorrow I will try to change it for Module tree too...
I hope, you now understand and hope you did speak only about module which doesn't work ... and hope my english will be better sometimes ... )

I'm not sure what you mean. But I have already disabled the back buttons in the configuration, can see no change in the gallery behaviour in the new version.
Especially not after two glasses of red wine - let's see what tomorrow brings !

... You can disable the back button in Component for all users (only design functions):
- BACK BUTTON TO PARENT CATEGORY - Display Back Button
- BACK BUTTON TO CATEGORIES LIST - Display Categories Back Button
The other think is, if you want to display the back buttons BUT if the back button should be linked to category which user cannot see, you will use:
- Display Unaccessible Categories - with this parameter - user cannot see private categories and cannot see Back button or Folder to these private categoeries...

Hello Jan,
first of all I'd like to say that your gallery is fantastic.
We develop a service for users with private galeries. So it's essentiel that a registered user can see only his category. Display Unaccessible Categories works fine for users who are not registered. But if a user logs in he can see the names of all the other categories in the component tree and modul tree, but he has only access to his own category. When there are many users (>100) the tree becomes very long. It would be very useful for us getting this function (hide all unaccessible categories) to work when a user is logged in.

Hi, there is this parameter:
Display Unaccessible Categories. If you set it to "No"
Component and Module Tree, Categories list:
- private categories will be not displayed to unregistered users
- private category of one registered user will be not displayed to other registered users and to unregisered users (saturday night I have fixed it)
- Random Image module should work the same way (saturday night I have fixed it too)
- Module tree should should work the same way from saturday, please download and upgrade (there is no new version, I made the changes in 1.7.0...)
For me it works, so I am waiting if for other users works too...
Thank you for the feedback

Hi Jan,
thank you very much, now it works. The reason was that I did the last download yesterday evening before you fixed it.
Greetings
