The phoca maps component/plugin are awesome, i'm using them in many sites besides phoca gallery! thankyou for your work! 
Another cool functionality could be add more kml files on a single map, and allow to hide/show them clientside..
The same could be done with the markers, by adding a simple legend with the clickable name of the markers..
