How do you delete multiple images?

Can anyone tell me if there is a way of selecting multiple images for deleting.
I have a lot of clients that I continuously upload images for, and by using multiple upload this isn't a problem.
The problem is when I want to delete the images, I have to click on each and every single image to check the box for deleting, and then I have to do the same again for the thumbnails.
Why isn't there a simple "select all" button one can check to select everything in that category or folder.?
(Or if there is, can someone please tell me where to find it?)
When you're uploading and deleting about 400 pics a week, it is a massive time waster not being able to do this. :!:
Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give

Hi,
are you talking about the Joomla! media manager? If yes, there is nothing we can do about here...

But look in the phoca gallery backend images tab: you can filter images according to the categories they are in, then there is a select all checkbox (all images currently shown) on the table header, 2nd column. This is to delete images from the categories, depending on your settings (clean thumbnails), this also removes the 3 thumnail images, but - as far as I know - not the original images. Use ftp for this, or a file management extension in joomla for this.

Regards,
rk

Thankyou so much Reko. The first bit about filtering by catagory will save me quite a bit of time.
Now, as soon as I figure out what a file management extension in Joomla is, (and where to find one), I'll be laughing!
