rss - facebook

Hi there

I dont think this is a new feature request if i understand it correctly.
befor joomla i used a program (gallery2) which generated rss feeds which were read by "RSS Graffity" (a facebook app)
basically all changes made to my photoalbum were published automatically on my frontpage ( 30 fotos = 30 posts)

However the cooliris feeds do not seem to be 100% valid rss feeds

i had a look at : viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11706&p=47660

And maybe a fb icon on image view level woudl allow me to do this easy manually but i dont get how to get this small icon there, however idealy i would like to go around the rss feed route

Kind Regards
Bas

Hi, just find a plugin or module on extensions.joomla.org which adds the icon to the site.

Hi jan, thank, i found one and am using this...as a workaround.

It works fine on album level but not on picture level as I like the pupops ...

What I mean is that my previous photogallery (Menalto Gallery 2) had an RSS feed that i could use in an application called RSS Graffiti. Whenever I updated my photoalbum RSS Grafity would automatically pick up the changes in the feed and publish them without any other action from me

Hi,

for now I am testing it with Phoca Restaurant Menu, see:
https://www.phoca.cz/restaurantmenudemo/en/daily-menu rss icon on the right side will produce this:

https://www.phoca.cz/restaurantmenudemo/ ... ormat=feed (there are two options - one as plain text and second as full html, on this site the plain text is used - because Facebook only displays plain text)

So the output with RSS Graffiti you can see here:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Phocacz-D ... 150?v=wall

But I see a problem still, Facebook does not allow displaying of html, nor line breaks, nor images ... only plain text so how to display images on facebook site using the RSS Graffiti ???

How it works ...no Idea
Before my joomla site is used menalto gallery 2 (they are up to version 3 now) this product generated RSS feeds and RSS graffity a facebook app read this and displayed the thumbnails.

Have a look for RSS graffity on facebook install and config that app and after that it is basically..just add your rss url

Hi Jan

Forum was down so PM ed you as welll

I set up a test gallery (1 picture) on http://test.de-ridder.info/gallery
Resulting in a rss link in that page (left top)
http://test.de-ridder.info/gallery/main ... 2_itemId=7

I added this last URL to the mentioned RSS Graffity (facebook app...free)

Now this updates every hour or so but keep an eye on:
