Hi,

I searched within this forum how to set the email notification upon download/upload of a file, followed what is advised, but unfortunately it still doesn't work ...

Even if I set "PHOCADOWNLOAD_SEND_EMAIL_DOWNLOAD" and "PHOCADOWNLOAD_SEND_EMAIL_UPLOAD" to "Nobody", I always receive email notification upon download of a file ! If I change "PHOCADOWNLOAD_SEND_EMAIL_UPLOAD" to my email address, I never receive any notification upon upload of a file.

- How does Phocadownload retrieve my email upon file download to send me a notification, even if I don't tell him who to send it to ?
- Why does Phocadownload never send me any notification upon upload, despite the fact that I told him my own email address ?

NB: I use Community Builder to manage my users and their email addresses, I don't know if there's a link ...

Hi, check if the emailing is not set in parameters component too, see:

Hi Jan,

I checked the parameters : they are identical on both Global configuration and Parameters component.

Despite this, I still never receive any notification on file upload ... (ok on file download)

Any idea ?

Hi, then you should check the email settings in your Joomla! (change to smtp, etc.)

Thanks Jan, but the email settings are OK. I use it with several extensions and it's working fine, even with Phocadownload for the notifications upon file DOWNLOAD.
The issue is specific to the UPLOAD notification ...

Did you tick the option in Joomla Profile - Receive System Emails ?
