1. Installed the com_phocamaps_v2.0.0_rc.zip
2. Phoca Maps is enabled in Extension Manager: Manage
3. Created map in component
4. Copy and paste {phocamaps view=map|id=1} into Article
5. Article displays: {phocamaps view=map|id=1}

Do we need to place somewhere a Google API?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Once you help me fix this problem. I have to admit that this will be the nicest interface to add maps.
Great Job!

Hi,
if you want to display the map in an article you have to install the Phoca Maps Plugin too.
Phoca Maps Plugin is a Joomla! plugin. With Phoca Maps Plugin you can display one or more than one Google Map on your site (in the article). You can display the map or only link to selected map. When user click on this link, the map will be displayed in Modal Box window or in standard Popup window.

No.

Hello
I want to display a map in the description of weblinks. How can I do? I'm using joomla 1.6.1 and 2.0.1 plugin phocamaps.
In articles I can display maps but not in descriptions of weblinks. Notation {phocamaps view = map | id = 3} is not interpreted.

From your above answer can I assume that the plugin does not work in the text editor for contacts? Perhaps that could be a request? Allow the plugin to work in any component where there is a text editor, not just in articles. Just a thought.

Hi,the plugin is a content plugin, so the modification must be done in the description field - it should get the same behaviour like content textarea in Joomla!
