Hi,
i have 18 thumbnail-pics which are shown on 1 page.
(If i click on a thumb the lightbox-view opens - that's all OK.)
But i like to have ONLY 6 thumbnail-pics (2 x 3 pics -2 colums, 3 rows-) on each page
including displayed pagination. How can i do this?

I read somewhere the number of shown thumbs depends on what is
used as the default list length... but this does not work in my case.
Available list lengths are 5,10,20 etc. ... how can i get 6 thumbs then?

Hi, images are displayed in float boxes, so you can set the phoca gallery width to get e.g. 3 columns (3x (box + padding+margin))

There is not possible to add e.g. 6, as you wrote, there is a global configuration for the pagination ...

OK, i figured out already how to arrange 2 colums.
But now i have 2 x 9 thumbs - still on one page!

Did i get you right that it is not possible to make 3 pages (for the 18 thumbs)?
That means all thumbs of a gallery are always shown on 1 page?
The only solution would be to create 3 galleries containing 6 pics?

Phoca Gallery doesn't influence the count of images on the site ... only number of columns but not the count of all images...

maybe you can try to do it with Phoca Gallery Plugin (adding images into articles with start and limit parameters)

Thanks again, although the hint with articles and gallery-plugin is quite useful, in my case that won't work:
i like to present pics of artists in the originally gallery-style.
The idea was to have a unique layout for every artist's pic-gallery - that means 6 thumb on every page.
It's a pitty that the number of thumbs can't be controlled by your fantastic gallery ...
Maybe you'll come up with a handy solution for that one day

Still got 1 question: on your DEMO site i can see a "display num" drop-down field, looking at

That would help halfway but: how can i enable this?
In Joomla i'd set the pagination to 'on' but this drop-down/pagination doesn't show up

The pagination shold be displayed automatically, it is a part of Joomla framework... did you create the menu link, see your parameters basic in your menu link to gallery if the pagination is enabled...
