I have a big problem with the administration pages of PhocaGallery
On the server where is my site there is an script execution limitation about 10 seconds.

so I can not administer gallery page or editing categories.

and so on, 2-5 minutes to have a chance to see the gallery administration page....

This is the error I have when I want go to the gallery administration

For now, I am obliged to attack directly the database to make change

Hi, I am sorry but I think, you cannot run Joomla! administration with only 10 seconds for a script...

I can manage joomla 1.5.4 without problem, but not the adminstration page of the gallery.

The speed of Phoca Gallery depends on your server: on RAM and on your GD library (which creates thumbnails), but I think, it is not realistic to create thumbnails (with writing data into database, checking all possibles parameters) in 10 seconds...

To bypass this limitation, I used Phocagallery on a IIS server with a limitation about 30 sec for script.

But even on this machine the administration of the gallery is terribly painful and long.

It might be advantageous to have some specific option for the verification and creation of thumbnails. In order to optimize performance

and now it is more than 30 minutes that I try to acceed the gallery administration page, but I received only a white page

Hi I think it is not caused by Phoca Gallery (I and Paul have had reworked all queries to be slower)... If you wait e.g. 30 Minutes for Phoca Gallery, what would you do with some robust extensions like VM (123 hours ???)

Seriously, there must be something wrong outside gallery which caused this problem...

see your GD settings...
