install issue with Joomla 1.6.3

Hi,
You can read my first post(from thimsda) 2 topics down in "Error installing Phoca Maps"
Trying again, Phoca maps does install and so far works on my 1.6.3. but...not error free.
It will not appear in the drop down components list. The only way to get to the control panel is to type
the actual address of the component as in: "mysite"/administrator/index.php?option=com_phocamaps
So if you are already in your back end, then you end up opening a second backend tab. I have not explored yet, if it all works without errors. When I put the first icon on the map by position, I did get the error "Geocode not found (ZERO_Results), but it did put the icon in the right place.
Anyway, so far it seems usable, but inconvenient, but like I said, I have not gotten beyond just putting 1 icon on the map.
So it certainly appears not to be referencing the locations of certain files in the way that 1.6.3 would like it to.
