Error 500-Internal Server Error

Hi there,

First of all, Phoca Gallery is a great gallery to display my pictures for my friends and family. However, I do have a few problems with the gallery and need your help to resolve them:

1. Why do I have the "Error 500-Internal Server Error" ? All of my images are less than 1MB.
2. After I tried to upload an image to using the Phoca Gallery Uploader, and got the "Error 500", what do I have to do to get everything work again. I did go to my phpmySQL to delete the picture, but still can't access the gallery's folders or upload any picture after that?

If I can get pass these two errors, that would be great.

Note: Yes, database is a strange concept for me. Please be specific and thanks in advance.

What Apache's error log says? That 500-Internal Server Error doesn't tell much, just that Apache's log should be checked.

Couple of thing that come in ming:
1) Something wrong with .htaccess-file
2) Output for some reason too big to PHP's limits.

I have not check the Apache error log. I will check and see what it said.
Secondly, what is the right setting for: .htaccess file.

I am with 1&1 host provider, and don't know if I can change any of the setting, especially for PHP-related setting.
