Create new font with GREEK LETTERS (HELP IAM SO CLOSE!!!)

Post by nemmy »

hello, please i need help...
ill be very analytic so i hope someone to untertand me.
TOPIC: I WANT TO INSTALL A NEW FONT "Palatino Linotype".

STEP 1: If I use Palatino from Win7 TTF and convert it from TCPDF with "ttf22ufm -a -F palatino.ttf", "php -q makefont.php palatino.ttf palatino.ufm", then i dont get special letters Č Ć etc..

The solution: I have tried to convert the palatino.ttf to palatino.otf
and then convert it to TCPDF with that command
"ttf22ufm -a -F palatino.otf", "php -q makefont.php palatino.otf palatino.ufm"
WOWWWW now iam OK. the pdf is generating succesfully!!!
BUT WITH ONLY ONE MISTAKE!!!
the character "μ" doesnt recognize it!!!

so i have tried install another font... and the problem is still the same all the characters are ok in the output pdf
EXEPT the letter "μ".
instead of the letter "μ" inserts an unkown symbol...

Please help me... how to add that symbol?
maybe the error in the specific letter occured during the conversion process from .ttf to .otf with the
online tool http://www.freefontconverter.com ???

because every font that iam trying to install with the same way.... always the letter "μ" has problem!!!

you can see the attached picture...

Hi, I think I cannot help you because I didn't such modifications yet.

Regarding diacritics. I have tested only Czech language and translated some font, there were no problems and it worked ok.

So no experiences with some specific characters. There can be a lot of problems:

- the characters is missing in the font
- there were some problems while translating the font, etc.
- etc.

but really no experiences there :-( :-( :-(
