I think, there must be set some padding or margin in css:
Try to add this rules to:
showcaseimg class (.showcaseimg) or showcase id (#showcase)

shadow - just use some CSS practices to add shadows to the box

I need help with this as well. I created images to match the white space within the image background that stormlab has and it is not filling properly and is also offset.
