First I would say I'm french, it's habitualy of no importance but here it's a big problem. When i use the multiple add function on directory with accent, or in the name of a file the objet is simply not reconize.
The issue is simple, the name of the file is truncate with a 'é' letter or a 'èàêëï', etc. That's realy a problème because all my picture have a description and on the last 247 i gave to the gallery, only 170 survive of the accent troncature. Could you just extend the letter phoca gallery (which is excellent otherwise) could accept.
At least, could it be added a function that rename the file/directory with the name poca will use (so rename the file/directory, with the truncated name). That should be an horrible solution, but it's better than nothing.

Thank's a lot.

Hi, if you speak about folder and files in your server, then there are server's rules. It is recomended to not use diacritics (accents) for folder names, because there can be problems on servers, see:

https://www.phoca.cz/documentation/index ... categoires

If you speak about categories, Phoca doesn't handle the UTF-8 cateogory titles or description, it only tries to change the alias names (if your server supports iconv library then you get: FROM: 'èàêëï'' to 'eaeei' but only for aliases, no description, no category name, no title name for images)
