I have just one question: I cannot set the path for the absolute path setting. The example given by Jan is for Linux, but I don't know if my provider uses Linux.
My downloadfolder is:/domains/XXXXXXXXX.nl/public_html/downloads (attr=777)
So what is the correct syntax? I've tried a lot but still got these messages that 'path is no folder'

Hi, public_html should be in Linux (of course can be in Windows too, but seems this is a linux) - you need to find right path - from root of your server, try to see Extensions manager or Joomla! configuration file, mostly the path is displayed there.
