direct link in the menu

Hello

I am trying to insert a phoca link to a file in a menu. It does not work. The link goes to the page to download the file. SEF is enabled but it behaves exactly the same way with sef turned off.
direct link is checked on, i ve created link to the category and a component in an hidden menu. It just won t work

joomla 1.5.23 /phoca 1.3.9

ok, so it s not supposed to download directly the file ?

No, the menu link has no such behaviour to download it directly.
