Facebook Comments and Internet Explorer

Post by alforreca »

Hi,

Just want to thank you guys for what it seems to be a good array of joomla extensions.

I was testing the module facebook comments and read your help documentation.
And as predicted by you guys, the comments are not showing in internet explorer so the index.php needs to be edited.
The problem is that I'm not able to find the entry:

Code: Select all

xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"
in my yootheme template, yoo_nano. Don't really have a subscription with them anymore, can't ask them anymore.
/templates/yoo_nano/index.php as no reference but points to:
/templates/yoo_nano/layouts/template.php
no reference here either?! but it shows in my website source code?

Have you ever seen this entry in any yootheme template?
Thanks

***EDITED***
Sorry guys,
Just another question... I'm pretty much facebook stupid, but I guess I have to have these things for my users and SEO.

Everything works, and the module is connected to the facebook application via api key. When a user posts a comment the comment shows in my website page (well not with internet explorer because of the above issue) but it shows with any other browser. The post also shows in the user facebook page. The question is, shouldn't the post also show up in the facebook application page?

Thanks

Hi,

1) you can change the html attribute via plugin too (since 1.6, 1.7):
https://www.phoca.cz/phoca-site-plugin

2) Try to see:

Hi,

I finally manage to find the file entry that controls this attribute.
Anyone with jomsocial the entry is located in /plugins/system/jomsocialconnect.php

Right now, watching my blog the page source (were facebook comments are published) I have:
<html xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml" lang="en-gb" dir="ltr">

So it should work fine?! but I was just testing the commenst with chrome, firefox, safari and ie.
! of my blog articles as 2 comments each one with 1 reply. All from different users.
So I should see in my page:

But it is not showing:
in firefox and chrome I can see 1 of the comments and replies
1 comment

in safari and ie I can see the other comment and reply:

None of the browsers show the 2 comments and 2 replies?!
Anyway to fix this?
