Is it possible to hide the list of categories? I have made my own navigation which links to each category.

1.) Which version do you use?
2.) Do you mean the "Categories view" or the list of subcategories in the "Category view"?

Do not create a menu item for it!(?) If no menu is linking to it, the "categories view" isn't displayed even if you use the top link.
