[Solved] Phoca gallery image module

Post by andvarin »

Hi,

first time, thanks for your products.

I have one question after many look on your forum.

i try to display the gallery image module with a main catégory who is empty (see below)

main catégory (empty)
--> category 1 ( 4 images)
--> category 2 (empty)
------>category 2.1 (4 images)
------>category 2.2 (4 images)

but no images are displaying by the subcategory 1 or 2 or 2.1 or 2.2

it is possible?

i work with joomla 2.5 and the last phoca component and module.

sorry for my bad english i don't practice enough.

thanks for your answer

hi,

when i choose subcategories like your exemple (Andorra - Andorra 2010 with images), it's works!

but when i choose "Andorra" who is empty (without image but with the subcategorie "andorra 2010"), no image are displaying.
In your exemple:
if i choose "Andorra" in the module (parameter "select category"). can i display images who are the subcategory (Andorra 2010)?
In my exemple (first post)
if i choose "main category" in the module. can i display images who are the subcategory (category 1, 2, 2.1, and 2.2)?

sincerely,

No, you must choose (mark) the subcategories which contains images.
In my example Andorra + Australien does not contain any images but subcategories which contains images. Therefore I choose Andorra 2010 + Australien 2005
In your case this means, you have to choose (mark):
category 1, category 2.1, category 2.2

Hi, in the same theme i have one more question.
Imagine categories:

Category 1
-Cat 1.1
-Cat 1.2

We can display images each category. And now, my visitor is registering, and uploads images to
Category 1
-Cat 1.1
-Cat 1.2
-Cat1.3new_user

How to set display all Cat 1, Cat 1.1 Cat 1.2 and Cat 1 and cat 1.3new_user before the last ones is created? Simly display images fom one category, and all subcategorys (nevermind how is called, when created etc), just Category 1. and all subcategories.

Any idea?

Hi barnaba,
I wanna do the same thing, but this module don't do this.
The only solution is modify it to show child categories.
