Corrupt .pdf Files

Post by NeilT »

I have a strange one on a website I run, we have run phoca download for a couple of years, and have never had any issues.

But we are now getting random corrupt .pdf files.
I have re-FTP some of them up, and they are fine on the server, but its when phoca does the download they are corrupt?

Has any one got any suggestions?

See the problem here -> http://www.bongoforum.co.uk/enter/index ... &Itemid=79

Hi, see similar posts, phoca download only add information from server to browser, but the downloading is working between server and browser - try to recheck server settings, if there are no limits, safe protections, etc. :idea:

It could be network problem. Check it if it is and then fix it.

I experienced the same problem:

some HTML text was added in the head of the documents by the component, precisely it was:
"<div style="display:none" ><b></b>
</div>"

I "unexpectedly" solved the problem wiping up the public_html/tmp folder of the joomla installation. I can't really reproduce the problem and still doesn't make much sense to me, but I'll not investigate on the mystery.

Just to be precise, before doing that I've also upgraded the component to the latest compatible version (1.3.9)

hope this will help someone.

Ciao!
