Hide the bubbles with location names?

Post by houldsworth1 »

Hi there.

First off - thanks for the great products!

I am using Phoca Maps on a web page that is running Joomla 1.5 and it is working great but, for various reasons, I need to upgrade to version 2.5.
On my 1.5 page - which you can see here http://vervoort.us/joomla/index.php?opt ... &Itemid=55 I have two locations showing as just markers.

I have set up the same in my new environment (currently running only on a local machine so I can't show you here) and it is working but there are two huge speech bubble type things containing the location names that hide most of the map. I would like to only have those appear if someone clicks on the location marker (which is how the 1.5 version works).

Can you tell me how I set that up to do that?

Thanks!

Hi, there were no changes regarding this feature between 1.5 and 2.5? Do you have some screenshot of what you exactly mean?

HI there.
Thanks for getting back to me. Here is a picture of what the screen looks like when I go to the page:

I would really like those call outs to only show if people click on the marker.

Thanks!

Hi, testing in 2.5 and markers will be displayed after someone click on them

Hi Jan.

Yes, they do display after someone clicks on them. And they go away when you click on the 'X'. So I was not clear.

The problem is that I want the default to be for them not to appear. As it stands right now they always appear and obscure most of the map and I have to close them to see anything.

Does that make more sense?

Thanks for listening and apologies if I was not clear the first time.

Hi, I still don't understand, as default, if the map is displayed, none of the markers is "opened" ... this is default behaviour.

Every time I go to the page with the maps on the text bubbles show. Even if I close them, move to another page on the site and return, they are back again.

So if the default is supposed to be that they don't show then I guess I have a problem somewhere. Any ideas where to look? I don't see any settings that would control that.

Thanks!
