How can frontend user define folder for upload

Hi,
at the moment all the documents that I upload in frontend are saved in a subordner from ordner userupload with a nummer, for example userupload/1db9300528. I would like that It can be defined the subfolder where the documents are upload.
For example it could be depending of the category: category A uploads directly in ordner A, and so on.
Is there a possibility to do that?
