I 'm working in a sort of a big company - with several publishers. These publishers have theire own subsite to maintaine.

:?: Is there a way to restrict theire access to show just those categories they need in Ph. Download - and not the hole register of categories and documents. In the same way you can when it comes to publishing/access articlecategories/articles?

Hi, you can set access for categories for every user.

I am having the same problem as TBH. How can you do this exactly?

I have several categories named after their owners. I then have one menu link to show all categories, but users can see categories even though they have no access rights to it. How can you hide those categories?

Thank you for your answer!

Hi, in Phoca Gallery users can see only categories wehre they have access right, so check the access rights of the categories.

Yes, I found this option. However, I would like to accomplish this in Phoca Download. :)

Alright, I'm confused. I am trying to hide categories and not able to do it. What I want to do is give each of my users their own folder. I have set the access to that user only. It does deny other people access if they try to access it - but they can still see that the category exists. I don't want it to do that.

when I [edit] the category - I have set it as follows:

Title: Test's Folder
Alias: test
Parent Category: Client Folders
Ordering: 2. Test's Folder
Access: Registered
Access Rights: Johnny Tester (only one selected)
Upload Rights: Johnny Tester (only one selected)
Delete Rights: Super User (only one selected)

And yet, all of my users can see the category when they are in the parent category (Client Folders)

How do I hide it so the other users don't even see that the category exists?

Hi, such option needs to be customized - for now you can hide/display unaccessible files but not categories :-(
