Hi,
i have installed Phoca Maps 2.0.5 in our joomla 1.7.3 site but I'm getting white page when I add over 80 markers.
Error reporting is enabled on my server and also I've enabled the debug option from joomla global configuration but no errors appear. Just a blank white page.
I've done a lot of experimenting and I notice that unpublishing one marker will make the map display again.
The same effect happens when I decrease the size of descriptions in the markers. For example if I make the description in marker80 half the original size, I can add marker81 with the rest of the characters with no problem. If I add any extras it shows a white page.
Is there a maximum character limit in description fields or in the total sum of characters from all marker descriptions? Is there a way to fix this problem?
Thank you very much for your time and help

Hi, no, Phoca Maps does not set any limits, so this can be e.g. memory limit, etc. If the error is not displayed on the page, try to see the errorLog on your server.

Re: Phoca Maps White Page With long descriptions
Hi and thanks for the quick reply.
Update to the situation:
There was no error logged anywhere however i found a workaround. It seems that there was an incompatibility with the templates from Gavick.
As a workaround I created an extra menu item which used the default Atomic Template for joomla 1.7.3. Then I created a new wrapper menu item to link to this page and thus included my phoca map in my site in an iframe. Now every marker shows up.
I still haven't found out why this issue occured or what the incompatibility is but for now the page is working with the workaround.

No problem I really appreciate the effort
I just thought I 'd post what I did to work around the problem for future reference. I've seen lots of references about white pages appearing and maybe people had the same incompatibility with their template.
