Hi all,
any ideas on how to manipulate the component to generate PDF download of the entire site or category or menu system, and not just the current page.
or if you could recommend some other way to allow a user to download/print multipages at once.

Hi, I don't know any such solution and I think, there will be no such as this can do really problems with memory and server loading

Hello,
This is exactly what I should like to have too!.
Let me explain:
In the nonprofit organization I'm working for periodically a brochure is published with events.
After the brochure is printed, and distributed, the content of the brochure is placed as a PDF-file at our site.
As an extra service we also provide the single events as a single article at the site, categorized.

The whole process takes some time and there are several steps to make.
I think that the process can be shorted by doing the follow:
- Let the "owner" of an event create or update his event at the site (site info is in the lead now!)
- After all the events are suitable for publishing let Phoca PDF create a PDF-file for a given category or categories.
- The created PDF can be distributed know.
- Last but not least: We then provide a flipping book of the created PDF file

So.... it should be, in mine opinion, a valuable update to the extension.

Hi, for now such feature needs to be customized (as the Joomla! 3 is comming and there are a lot of changes breaking backward compatibility, I think, I will have no time to look at this , in the near future). Anyway added to feature request list.

Hi, no news there ... Phoca PDF 3 is prepared on my servers (I begun to overwrite it cca 3 months ago, I have cca 20% overwritten, so will take some time)

But this feature is not a part of first Phoca PDF 3 version, it is still under review, a lot must be tested there (for example memory, etc.) and really no idea if this can be implemented for public because surelly not all servers will be ready (so I think, the best solution is customizing it only for strong server where user exactly now which influence it can have)... As written everywhere, PDF is not like HTML and its output is very very problematic ... This is why the PDF feature was removed from Joomla! core (so the same for Phoca PDF, not every feature which can make problems on open servers, can be implemented there)

So not good messagees, the plan is:
- overwrite Phoca PDF for Joomla! 3
- test if such feature can be used as core

Server performance is limited so things like:

- creating PDF documents (with many sites, brochures, etc.)
- resizing images (e.g. large images)
- etc. (everything which needs a lot of memory)

is mostly not possible on php server, this is a task for other parts of IT like PCs, etc.

So this is maybe why you cannot find any such functionality, because some things are not possible to make on servers ...

So I hope I will find time to loot at at and at least to test it if this can be possible with php script
