Is there any way to create square thumbnails like Gallery2 does?

Phoca Gallery resize the image as locked, it means the width and height are in the same ratio.

So is there anyway to make the thumbnails square? For example, gallery2 has an option that keeps the same ratio but makes all thumbnails square by resizing them.

No yet, but you can do it in php source code in phocagallery helper...

Is this a feature you may integrate in later versions? I can't seem to do it myself.

Not yet, now I am working on version in which you can set the thumbnail size but not as square...
