I am trying to get Phoca Gallery 3.2.2 working with Joomla 2.5.7 and not having much success.
I tried first to get UCP - Frontend User Upload to work but I got a message "There is no category where to upload images. First create a category please." Even though there is a category that is published and authorized. Earlier post by me explains that issue.
Since I couldn't get that working I decided to go onto Phoca Slideshow and after I got it set up and clicked on the menu item to display the article I got a message "There is no image or category id is unpublished or not authorized". There is a images and category that are both published and authorized. I looked in the Forum and found that others with that same message had a compatibility issue between software versions.
Is that possibly the problem I am having also? Is Joomla 2.5.7 and Phoca Gallery 3.2.2 compatible? How do I find the version number for Phoca Slideshow?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Gary

Re: Compatibility between Joomla 2.5.7 and Phoca Slideshow
Hi, I have installed it on my test server 2.5.7 and 3.2.2 - and everything is working as expected
Did you recheck this message:
If your category is created and you cannot upload images then ask administrator:
if you have permission to upload images into the main category
if you are owner of the main category
if the user upload folder is set for your main category.
Not sure which slideshow extension you are using (plugins or modules) but check if the ID of the cateory is set correctly and if the category is published and authorized (and if it exists) ... For now I really have no other better idea as really don't know what can be the problem there and why the category does not exists for the frontend and for the plugin/module ???
